I live in a downtown apartment building (brand new construction) and my suite came equipped with this unit. When I did the walk through before I signed my lease, the stainless steel appliances were definitely a perk. As far as aesthetics are concerned, this is one pretty looking dishwasher. The trouble starts when you go to use the thing. Your first frustration will be that wine glasses do not fit on the top rack. If you've prepared a full meal for four, you will be hard pressed to get all of your dishes and glasses into the thing. The fun really starts when you turn it on. If you are good at carnival games, you might be able to get the knob to land at the precise beginning of the cycle you are looking for. Go too far? Try again. It's 2013, there is no reason to keep using electromechanical knobs on our appliances. Once you do start your load though, fasten your seatbelt and prepare for takeoff! Or rocket launch. The thing is louder than your neighbors speedboat on the weekend. The real payoff is when you go to unload your dishes though. If you didn't completely scour, scrub and sanitize everything you placed into the machine before you ran it, you will be blessed with water spots, grease, crud and whatever food particles you put into the machine coming out glued on to all of your stoneware. But wait, there's more! No matter how you arrange your dishes, what detergent or what setting you use, everything comes out looking like it did before you put it in. You're better off with a sponge and your sink like your great grandmother used to do it... IN SUMMARY If you are looking to build a house, replace your dying machine or "upgrade," save an extra $100-200 and buy something that you will love, not a hunk of junk that you will regret wasting your money on.
