I don't know if this is a new standard but it is a waste of time to have dishes come out as wet as they do. This dishwasher doesn't dry for anything even with all the heat settings on and rinse aid in. If you pull the tray out, which is plastic, to unload the dishes the water drops on the dry dishes. It cleans them well but I have to spent about the same amount of time drying as I would actually hand washing. My old dishwasher was ancient but I can say the dishes were dry and hot, very hot when the cycle was finished. This energy star stuff isn't worth anything if the appliance isn't effective! I'm very disappointed and wish I would have paid for a much cheaper dishwasher, not that this is high end, to accept the under performance this one gives me!
